how a typical case starts
- 01
a short email with a clean scan, if possible. it helps to also send a phone photo at an angle, so any folds and ink layering are visible.
- 02
a reply within a few days with a written quote, scope and rough timeline. estate paper bundles and pre-1700 charters usually need two to four reading sessions.
- 03
the original document, posted or hand-delivered to the edinburgh office. nothing is photographed for the catalog without prior written consent.
- 04
a short written report. notes on ink, margins, layout and changes are kept separate from any narrative the client attaches to the document.
