added 2025-12-19 · written by ronald macdonald · edinburgh

early seventeenth-century charter from glengarry with extensive marginal cross-references added later.
Early seventeenth-century charter from Glengarry, dated 1605, with extensive marginal cross-references added in at least two later hands. The cross-references point to later sasines and a marriage contract, and were noted separately from the main charter reading. The parchment has not been over-restored, which made the marginal layers easier to separate.
